C.A.M.P. University Health Update
Dear CAMP Families
We have created a facebook group just for CAMPers and parents that will provide opportunities for our CAMPers to chat in a safe place with friends and teachers. They will also be able to access videos and lessons so they can keep learning and keep their routine even when they can't make it to CAMP. You can do a search for "C.A.M.P. University at Home" or click here. We are also putting videos and activities on our Blog. Click here to visit the blog.
July 22nd Update
Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez asked that we follow a strongly suggested "Shelter In Place" mandate until August 5th. Students up-to-date with tuition will have access to online lessons facilitated by our C.A.M.P. teachers.
We look forward to everyone's return on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, and we will continue to follow the protocols for safety and social distancing referenced below.
May 1st Update
We are excited to announce that late yesterday we received word that we can open C.A.M.P. University on Monday, May 4th, after all. This will be to a limited number of CAMPers and parents will be asked to sign a form indicating they understand, agree to, and will help their CAMPer comply with the new policies and procedures that will help to keep everyone safe.
Families that are scheduled to return on Monday have already been contacted. If you are the family member of a CAMPer who is not returning right away, you can call our office to let us know with what time frame you would be comfortable. We are working very hard to stay well within all government guidelines, including not operating at capacity for now. We look forward to the day we can fully open our doors and start operating as we always have with lots of smiling faces and high fives, small group activities and exciting outings. Until that day, please know that we love and miss all of our CAMPers and CAMP families.
April 29th Update
C.A.M.P. University families, please be aware that we will NOT be able to open on May 4th as we had hoped. We are waiting for the City of McAllen to give us the go-ahead and let us know what restrictions will be implemented in order for us to open. Before we open we will send out a letter listing now policies and procedures that will help keep CAMPers and staff safe.
In the meantime we invite all CAMPers and family members to visit our Website Blog or join the private facebook group "C.A.M.P. University at Home."
We will do our best to keep our families, volunteers, and donors updated on our Facebook Page and Facebook Group. Please take care of yourselves and the people around you.
April 3rd Update
As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and the steps government official and school districts are taking. We will be extending our closure and hope to open again on May 4th. We understand the difficult situation facing all our families and want to do what is best to keep CAMP families and staff safe. We will not be charging tuition for the month of April. We miss our CAMPers terribly and hope to see everyone again soon. We will continue to monitor the situation and update everyone as things change. Please take care.
March 25th Update
C.A.M.P. University will follow Hidalgo County's guidelines. The April 6th date that we were hopeful for will now be April 10th as per government mandate. We will do our best to keep our families, volunteers, and donors updated on our Facebook Page and Facebook Group. Please take care of yourselves and the people around you.
March 17th Update
Dear friends and family. As of today we are closing our doors, just as the school districts are doing in our area. Just like them, we plan to open again on April 6th. We will be keeping a close eye on the COVID19 situation and will notify you with updates. We apologize for any inconvenience but our first priority, as always, is to keep the CAMPers safe.
Staff still be calling and texting families to let them know. Thank you for understanding. Stay safe and take precautions.
