C.A.M.P. University does not receive public school funding. We are completely reliant on private funding so that our families can afford our day program. We haven't raised our cost in over 5 years because of this our families are only responsible for about one-third of the operating cost. Your gift helps sponsor the remaining two-thirds of the tuition for each student.

Emily has been attending C.A.M.P. 2 full years. I like that C.A.M.P. is more Christian-based, and most of all, I like it because Emily LOVES IT. She never wants to miss a day! My experience of Emily's growth is very much positive. I observe that she is more participatory, she is happy, she's not embarrassed to participate in activities, and she has become more outgoing. All this is because of your program here at C.A.M.P.

I have been a Board Member for about the past 10 years and have remained so for that length of time due to the work they do and the services they provide their students and families. This is very much a forgotten segment within our community (for folks that learn differently) and the majority of funding to support these folks is done so and obtained thru the private sector. Government funding or assistance is virtually NIL in regards to the support and continued education for this dire need.

My daughter Carolyn has attended C.A.M.P University since shortly after it opened. We had moved here from California and I was looking for a program where she could make some friends and continue to grow in her social skills and life skills. This is the perfect place for that. The “campers” are respected and genuinely cared for by the staff. I could not find a better place for my daughter who has made many friends and looks forward to going to C.A.M.P. everyday.

We are so very proud to be a part of Camp University. There is no other place like it in the Rio Grande Valley. We appreciate CAMP's dedication and love that they show our son and all of the other Campers. Camp University is very organized and they provide real life lessons that help prepare all Campers in lives challenges. As parents we would highly recommend Camp University to anyone looking for a place for their special needs son or daughter.
